    Because he should have known that religion is his achilles heel, and was stupid to bring it up. Probably not a big deal, shouldn't be any at all, but a misstep from someone who had seemed better than this at avoiding them. If it's the only one (or close to it), it will be forgotten, but George Allen also started with a single stupid move, which then became a pattern. We'll see.

    At least Mitt actually SAID this.
