Let's get this started early, just for fun. I imagine that tomorrow all of baseball will be in freaking CYA mode.

    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/baseball/mlb/12/12/mitchell.report.ap/index.html

Baseball has been told there will be MVPs and all-stars named in among the 60 to 80 players.

Everyone has heard some of the rumors.

Who, if anyone, would surprise you or break your heart?

Will it have any effect on anything?

Who will be in full spin mode by 2:06 p.m.?

    Let your speculation follow.

When are the names being released?

And will it be en masse or piecemeal?

EDIT: Never mind. Just got to that part in the story.

If David Eckstein is on the list, Jesus will weep.

I'm pretty sure nothing will break my heart. I'm sure some surprising names may come out, but I can't see anything too far-fetched.
ESPN's going beserk on it. I think they have a 5-hour special starting at 1.

I'm sure there's a few people who would love to see Junk Jones appear......

Players: 'It was cold medicine. I had a note. Prove it.'

MLB: 'We are shocked, SHOCKED, and applaud Senator Mitchell for this stunning news.'

Media: 'We knew it all along.'

It will be interesting if there are huge names, but I'm not going to get to excited until I hear the announcement. I'm thinking this is just a farce of an "investigation" to show that baseball cares about the steroid problem. Considering, in most cases, players didn't feel like they had to tell all, I don't know if there's going to be a lot in this report that we don't already know.

    MVPs? There's a stunner.

Between Bonds and Caminiti, that's eight right off the bat.

How does Evan Seville figure into the investigation?
