    Back to the thread: When I was in high school, one of the other schools in our league had a future NBA All-Time Teamer in the grade behind us. And yeah, he was good enough to play in the NBA as a HS junior.

    When we were seniors, the game before they were supposed to play our team, he set a city scoring record with 54 points in a 40-point win.

    One of my better friends was matched up against him on defense. He held him to 38 and we only lost by 25. Everybody on the team was deliriously happy and still talks about it today.

    Sometimes the other guy is just fuckin' better.
