I’ve never ridden a bicycle in my life, but watching the Tour on NBCSN and its predecessors has been a part of my summer for the past 20-plus years.

Watched all the Lance Tours. Haven't watched since, and not because I dislike cycling.

Isn't the Tour going to be in September this year?

I went into one of Floyd Landis' weed stores in Colorado last month. Not a weed guy but I couldn't resist.

Since I only watch it for the beauty overhead shots of the French countryside, that'll be fine.

Yup. Never seemed a big deal my as mom and older brother never did either (although he learned in college). Made sure my kids learned young but of course neither one has been on a bike in years.

Riding a bike is one of the great joys in life, even if it's as simple as down the street. Learn so you can ride with your grandkids.

    Ever fly a kite?
