Miss Universe /USA falls on her ass again

I was trying to find a link from the show my wife was watching....and damned if she didn't fall in 2007 as well. But Miss USA did it again tonight. Plopped right on her ass during the evening gown competition.

 

Someone should have given her a map of the stage.

 

I clicked on this hoping to see her take a tumble. What, no pictures?

 

Jesus, this country can't do anything right.

 

She fell down and still got a score over 8? I know nothing of pageant scoring, but that seems pretty good for someone who busted it.

 

She nailed the landing...

I only watched because I heard she fell on her butt (the good side of life on the West Coast) and what a waste of time. They parade around a bit, then parade around in a standard issue swimsuit, then parade around in an evening gown of their own choosing. Pretty boring. What these shows need is a Howard Lederer type who can breakdown why someone's scores were higher or lower than expected.

 

A friend of mine won the Miss Texas pageant after falling during the talent competition. She did a ballet, and the floor wasn't even. She was spinning on her toes and hit a seam in the floor. But she obviously recovered nicely.

 

Must have been a bunch of French figure skating judges scoring the pageant.

 

It's a goddamned shame my face wasn't there when she landed.

 

Poise ... poise!

 

I gotta say, that's the best they could do for Miss America? Implants, hair extensions and ..
She'll need that strut for her next career.
