Minute Maid Park or Rangers Ballpark?

My best friend is coming down to visit me next week and it turns out both the Astros and Rangers are home.

Minute Maid Park: Houston v.s Florida, air-conditioned, probably easier to find tickets, NO tailgating.

Ameriquest Field: Texas v.s Minnesota, out in the heat, tickets shouldn't be too hard to come by, tailgating is allowed.

I left the decision up to him, but he said he doesn't care either way. So, to which park would you go? I'm leaning towards Ameriquest since I've never been there. I went to Houston last year.

I'd go with the option that allows tailgating. That's often the best part of going to a game.

Houston. It has bars within walking distance.

All things being equal, pick the city where you'd want to spend the rest of the day/weekend/whatever -- or go to Arlington, since you haven't been there yet.

Formerly known as The Ballpark in Arlington if I'm not mistaken.

Tailgaiting in a parking lot in the summer in Texas? Have a blast.

Tx, I guess I'd have to invent time travel to go back two years when Rangers Ballpark at Arlington was named Ameriquest Field.

    Good catch.

No kidding, I have never heard of people tailgating at baseball.

I would go with Houston-Florida, but I am a National League guy.
