Minor leaguer dies after being cut from team

    Minor league baseball player is released from the team before a game, watches the game from the stands and dies in car crash driving from the ball park.

    Sad story, really.

    Edit: title changed because I was a moron.

    Very sad story, especially since alcohol was involved.

    However, I agree ... the thread title ought to be changed. My heart jumped when I saw it.

    You can't please all of the people all of the time... I thought leaving Steve MArtin in with a disclaimer would hgave been fine...

    Nahh. I screwed that one. I was trying to make a silly joke and it wasn't a joke that should be made. I'd like to blame it on sleep deprivation or something like that, but reality is I made a stupid mistake trying to be funny.

    I can admit it when I do something stupid.
