Because of five guys? The New York Devils are a better argument for your cause but Google can't turn you into an expert in half a day.

Oh Boom or Bust, for crying out loud ... if you're going to pick out a mistake, make sure it's a fundamental one--kind of like your spelling, grammar and general knowledge--as opposed to one where the fingers go faster than the brain. You know damned well I know who the Devils are.

But since you want to go there, three of the Ducks players who are NCAA alumni aren't exactly glowing examples ... they are fourth liners at best, playing in the shadow of such CHL alumni as Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry and Chris Pronger, to name but a few.

Matter of fact, none of those three was even a part of the Stanley Cup victory last season. Maybe Carter dressed but his skates likely stayed sharp the entire time.

You wanna go, bitch? You'd better be able to bring it better than that.

If I may...here are the three Ducks who played US collegiate hockey:

Brandon Bochenski, George Parros and Ryan Carter.

Obviously, there are pros and cons for an American player considering going the college route or Canadian Major Junior. If it were me, if I was a good enough hockey player that I had options, today I would lean towards going to major junior.

Weight and Marchant also played college.

The only ones of note on the Ducks roster at least.

And further to the point ... here's how Burke drafted last year:

19 ANA (from MIN) LOGAN MACMILLAN QMJHL HALIFAX
42 ANA (from MIN) ERIC TANGRADI OHL BELLEVILLE
63 ANA (from PHX) MAXIME MACENAUER QMJHL ROUYN-NORANDA
92 ANA (from PHI) JUSTIN VAIVE USDP USA U-18
93 ANA (from PHX) STEVEN KAMPFER CCHA U OF MICHIGAN
98 ANA (from CBJ) SEBASTIAN STEFANISZIN GERMANY EISBAREN BERLIN
121 ANA MATTIAS MODIG SWEDEN LULEA
151 ANA BRETT MORRISON QMJHL PEI

Gosh, Burkie loves those Yankee kids so much he waited until the fourth round to score a couple. Wow.

Oh for shits and giggles ... and because I'm so good at procrastinating my work, let's look at 2006, shall we?

19 ANA MARK MITERA CCHA U. OF MICHIGAN
38 ANA (from NYI) BRYCE SWAN QMJHL HALIFAX
83 ANA (from S.J) JOHN DEGRAY OHL BRAMPTON
112 ANA MATT BELESKEY OHL BELLEVILLE
172 ANA PETTERI WIRTANEN FIN HPK

Well, I'll be shitnozzled ... two drafts, three Yankee kids. I don't suppose you want me to go through Burke's drafting history with the Canucks, do you?

Shoot, I wouldn't mind seeing Burkie's drafts with Vancouver.

I do wonder if he's going to use Edmonton's first round pick on...oh well, no point in shooting fish in a barrel.

I can guarantee you ... Burkie likes the major junior kids.
