I would love to see the conversation between Beane and Geren

"I'm not going to tell him, you tell him."
I'm not going to tell him, you tell him.

    LET'S GET MIKEY!"

After all these years, he's finally switched to the chutes from the ladders. No more Candyland for him.

I guess there will be a moratorium on "Milton Bradley has seen the error of his past ways" stories now.

He did give this town one of its best sports memories ever ... a two-out, full-count grand-slam homer in the bottom of the ninth to win the deciding Game 5 of the Eastern League championship series. It doesn't get much more dramatic than that.

Of course, he did spit on an umpire earlier that season.

Padres love to claim rejects ... DePodesta is an assistant GM there and was the GM who brought him to the Dodgers. Any chance of that happening?

But who will Nick Swisher mosh with in the dugout?

I'd love to see the Pirates pick up him.

He probably costs too much money for management's taste.

He plays with passion, too much passion. To him, baseball is not a trivial pursuit. But that's life. Dude doesn't have a monopoly on thinking he's better than he is, of course. Too often, his games were boom or bust, with no in-between. Sometimes he just didn't have a clue.

Now he'll have to go to some team on a bargain hunter contract. Once again, a team has tired of the risk he entails, called him and his agent, and said "Sorry!"

They don't need a person like that in the clubhouse.
There is no one in there now even remotely close to that.
