Re: Newest convert to the "FIRE MILLEN" forces: William Clay Ford Jr.

Millen was a very good linebacker. He was tough as hell..He was no Hall of Famer ,but he was tenacious. When he left the booth he was the 2nd best analyst behind Madden.Unfortunatly Bill Maas tried to emulate him and sucked. As a GM he is the worst in sports history.Yes,even worse than Elgin Baylor...

And......{.I have never called for a man to be fired in this column, and I won’t start now. Sports figures have dignity and families, too, and if they’re gonna get the ax, they should hear it from a boss, not me.} is another way of saying "I am a pussy"

    No, as usual, I'm right.

If Millen was all that great, the Raiders would have kept him. No salary cap in 1988; if you wanted to keep a player, basically you could just write him a check and keep him. For whatever reason, Davis decided not to. Part of it had to be he wasn't all that great.

Millen was an OK player. Not great.

He was a dopey, predictable, cliche-ridden TV analyst, and the worst general manager in NFL history.
