Nobody cares about how he died. People care about the president lying about it and using the lie for his political benefit.

What do you call the BS that the Army was putting out about his death?

    The president lied?

Oh, and there's proof of this?

There are a whole lot of layers of hand washing between the president and the soldiers.

Yes. The president stated something that wasn't true. If that isn't a lie, well, I'm not sure what is.

He stated what and based on what information did he have at the time?

If he had faulty information, he didn't lie.

He knew the information was faulty. Has he asked for any heads to roll? Why not?

Far cry from "The buck stops here."

"I don't think our troops should be used for what's called nation building."
    - George W. Bush, 2000

  8. So The Decider is a feather in the wind, victimized by evil subordinates?
    Right.

The buck never stops at the The Decider.

As the Circle Jerks once said, "I'm just a product of my environment."

Tillman is one of the most high-profile to die that way, if not the most high-profile. What makes it even more important a story is how the military and government used his death as an excuse to tell a lie to help whip up a little more P.R.

Fenian -- Is this any different from the "buck passing" that the last administration did? Or the one before it? Or the one before it? Or the one before it?

    Give me a break.

Your hatred of all things Bush too often hurts your credibility.

  12. Well, yes, it is.
Please cite me a similar example from the previous administration.
I maintain, and I think history will bear me out on this, that all administrations are not the same -- that John Tyler's and Franklin Roosevelt's were substantially different, for example -- and that anybody who thinks they are needs to read a lot more books without really big pictures.
