Bama's tougher, because you not only have to win 10 games a year but not lose to Tennessee or Auburn.

At Miami, the implicit suggestion is: Don't fall back into the ocean. And I appreciate the turmoil that team's been through this year, but a lot of it is self-inflicted, and it's been building for a few years. Coker's a good - no, great - guy, but the character of his teams has been slipping since 2001. Too many guys, saying too many things, then getting into criminal trouble. I don't often say this, but Miami's choice was the right one, just like the choice to fire Frank Solich at Nebraska was the right one.

    You forgot one thing BTE:

The City of Miami has a diverse population that has many interests other than a fucking football team.
People in Alabama have nothing else to do but fret over their fucking football team.

    Quite simply, well said.

Is that why their fucking NFL team sells out every week and hasn't had a game blacked out in several years?

It's amazing how fans seem to have "other interests" when the team, you know, sucks.

That's the same Miami where the TV station bought 5k tickets to ensure a sellout in the Marino era. See Georgia, Atlanta, for another such case.

... as opposed to now, when Atlanta fans are surely flocking to see if Michael Vick flips them the Dirty Bird.

Croom did play a tiny role in getting Shula fired.

Bite your tongue mister. I just saw him last night smoking his no-filter cigarettes, drinking coffee eating donuts at an all-night diner with Elvis and Jim Morrison.

P.S. Elvis and Jim have lost weight and looked good. They were eating egg-white omelets and wheat toast with drinking de-caf. Good for them. Bryant still looked like crap, though.

Rick Pitino would like to let the Tuscaloosa fans know that their negativity sucks and stinks. He also adds: "Bear Bryant isn't walking through that door. Gene Stallings ain't walking through that door. If they did, they'd be old, gray and dirt-covered."

Alabama may be the toughest job in the country... The only person good enough to coach that team has been dead for almost 25 years...
