There's talk that it has to do with Craig James' kid. And James is doing the game for ESPN.

From ESPN... and if true, kiss Leach's sorry ass goodbye.

Sources told ESPN's Joe Schad that the Jameses felt Adam was treated inappropriately by Leach because he was unable to practice after a mild concussion. A source close to the James family told Schad that Leach directed a trainer to confine him to an equipment room for three hours and, days later, told a trainer to place James in an electrical closet. An attorney for Leach said that while James was secluded twice, the circumstances were not as portrayed by the James family.

PC - I disagree for this reason - he will be gone regardless of what happens if the school has tired of his act (see Magino, Mark), otherwise he will remain in place with a slap on the wrist.

Unfortunately, the truth matters a lot less than the agenda to adminstrations in these matters, these days.

Well, he did work in a building with Bob Knight after all. Wonder if Leach told the kid, "NOW I'M HERE TO FUCK AROUND THIS WEEK. NOW YOU MAY BE...BUT I'M NOT!"

Let's get over the idea that Mark Mangino was fired because he pushed a kid and was sometimes a meanie during practice. He was fired because he's an embarrassing a-hole in all aspects of life who had one good season, then blew the next two with most of the same players.

Lew Perkins needed a reason to fire Mangino and if it wasn't for pushing a college kid wearing a helmet and pads it would have been for forgetting to lock the door to Memorial Stadium or for not flushing the toilet after a particularly big dump.

And if Tech has been itching to get rid of Leach, they'll damn sure fire him for this. If they're not — and I have no reason to believe they are before this — then he'll be back if he did anything short of lashing the kid with a leather whip.

Moms of top recruits are going to love him! Luckily it isn't hard to get kids to commit to four years in Lubbock. (Those little muffins at the 50 Yard Line notwithstanding.) Should be a banner recruiting year.

Um, yeah, they have to fire him.
