Byron Scott was asked on the Lakers network if he would be interested.

He basically said, "well, duh. Of course."

Fans were hot for Scott a few years ago, but don't know is that's still the case.

Yes, I did agree with Magic. But unlike Magic, I'm not an alleged statesman of the franchise. He was way out of line. It was disappointing to see/read. He needs to be above that and be classier, despite his ties to the Dodgers.

As for Coach K, yes a contract was offered. Thankfully, he didn't take it.

As for the next coach, I'd like to see Thibodeau get it.

Scott would be a very good hire.

He did very well in Jersey until Kidd got him fired.

I was surprised when New Orleans fired him. I don't know what had gone on behind the scenes, but they had made the playoffs in back-to-back seasons and he got the axe pretty early into the next season.

Taking over the Cavs days before LeBron leaves... It's hard to put too much of that on him.

I was surprised the Hornets even bothered to bring him back to start that season after they got dumptrucked in the playoffs the previous year.

Denver kicked the crap out of them, but they were a No. 7 seed losing to a No. 2.

True, but they didn't even show up. I remember it being pretty apparent that the team had quit on Scott. Got the same vibe then that I got from the Pacers down the stretch this season.

Is that all he was getting? I just assumed this was one of those "resignations" where he'll be fully paid for next season.
