    I've had Indian and it's amazing. I know that's a little out of the Middle East, but from what I hear it's similar to what they eat and I think it's great.

    Yes it does. I lived off of it for like three weeks when I was over there last year.

    And speaking of McDonald's, the one I visited was selling something called a McTurk.

    No, I'm not making that up.

    middle eastern food is very good. Falafel, shwarma (lamb meat i think) and everything in pitas. i love eating that stuff.

    Nice edit on the initial post of the thread there Boom, in order to make it seem less, well, insulting. And yet, Friedman's not buying your hasty revisionism.

    I'd definitely agree with you there. I lived in Germany for two years. Turks are the biggest minority there, and there are doener shops all over. I used to get them on a weekly basis.
