Holy god. This is a promotional video created for Microsoft Songsmith, sort of a Garage Band type thing. How could anyone have thought this was a good idea? It's ... I can't even find the words. Just watch and cringe.

I hope the actors really, really needed the money.

I thought this was going to be a thread about Vista.

I don't necessarily think the program is a bad idea. I can't sing for the life of me, but I do have an interest in songwriting.

That being said, I got about 1:30 into that video and my eyes popped out.

Viral success achieved. The commercial is so bad, everyone will look at it because they want to see how awful it is.
The Soup will pick it up and run with it along with other clip shows and news shows looking for air to fill.
The free media buy is on and pretty brilliant I'd like to add.

Maybe, Jay, but that has the feel of unintentionally bad. If it's intentionally unintentionally bad, it's a masterful job.

Wow. That was well, fabulous....but not in a good way.

I'm waiting for Microsoft to come up with "Novelsmith".

Just because the commercial sucked doesn't mean it isn't a good idea.
