Michael Kay calls Mike Francesa a liar

That is outstanding. I'm not a huge fan of either guy. I do believe that Kay is something of a shill at times, but I agree that of those two, I'll take Kay's side every time.

 

That was fun to hear. Let's see if Francesa wakes up and has a response.

Wow, Kay hammered Francesa. My guess is that Francesa will take the route of barely acknowledging Kay and saying he doesn't have time for a silly war of words.

There's a lot of truth to what Kay said, but I wouldn't have called the A-Rod interview a "soft-landing." Francesa asked A-Rod point blank about 10 different ways whether A-Rod had used PEDs and A-Rod just kept saying no. Generally speaking, Francesa without question has been an A-Rod defender - and I believe that's why he got the interview - but I think he did his job in that interview and tried every way he could to ask A-Rod to admit it (which we all know he wasn't going to do).

 

Unlike Kay and Francesa those two are first-ballot hall of famers.

These battles don't intrigue folks outside the tri-state area as much as is thought.
A-Rod is such old news by this point it's growing little green and blue hairs.

to Francesa today to see if he responds to Kay.

It's a classic radio ploy used by jocks on same station. Morning DJ creates trumped up feud with evening jock and both benefit. It was a classic ploy of Imus and Stern when they were on same station. Now in Kay's case it backfires because Francesa is on another network.

 

Kay doesn't need to be told what to do by the Yankees as his blood is filled with their Kool Aid.
