Sounds like fun to me, provided it does become a sort of trick shot competition. I don't think the dunk contest is too much like HORSE, since the other player just has to top it, not match it. The creativity required is similar, but this is different, I think.

 

I could see some entertainment in this. Depends who they have competing and the kind of shots they'd be taking, though.

 

The NBA, of course, already had a HORSE competition, from about 1974-78, if I recall correctly.

It was actually kinda fun.

 

Great idea, and Simmons does deserve credit.

 

I remember watching the Pistol do his thing and the Big O had some nice shots too.

 

Bill Simmons is touching himself right now. I'd like to see Erik Piatkowski in this.

 

Bring back Paul Westphal.

 

Yeah it has potential. It's a skills competition, similar to what the NHL has, where players do stuff they'd never try in an actual game. Could provide a few laughs.
