Michael Irvin up in smoke

    ESPN has released him. No more Irvin. He is in the hall of fame but no longer has a job.

    Its both a journalism and an sports story but I feel it is more of a sports story.

    I didn't see it over there, so I won't blast him for letting me know Irvin got canned. That made my day.

    Nevertheless, thank you ESPN. You did something we've been hoping for this year, besides canning SAS's show.

    Now, it's time for them to ask that beached orca Berman to mix in a salad and lose a few pounds.

    Didn't Marty Schottenheimer do some work with ESPN in the past? Bring him back for one season before he finds another team to coach.

    Irvin's departure is a nice get for ESPN. Surprised Mort wasn't the one reporting it.
