Miami Herald outsourcing production jobs to India

    This is the most interesting part:

    So the moddys will be in India too? That's not a production function, that's really an editorial function. This will not end well.

    Not endorsing the idea, but this isn't a new trend. I recall the Columbus Dispatch started doing this a few years ago. I believe the San Jose Mercury News does it now as well. If newspapers could realistically outsource their copy desks to India and Singapore, they probably would.
