It's now Land Shark Stadium¹ for eight months (through the end of the regular season), expiring before the Super Bowl.

So it's a choice of "fins to the left, fins to the right and the visiting teams are the only game in town," "all the fans are wastin' away in Margaritaville" or "between innings, you can have boat drinks and a cheeseburger in paradise."
¹Aafter Jimmy Buffett's AB-produced brand LandShark Lager. (And I finally closed the size tag.)

I read on the Miami Herald Web site that sources say Buffett isn't even having to pay to get that on the stadium. The Dolphins are changing the name in exchange for Buffett doing some concerts and promotional work.

Buffett's trying to compete with Corona, so that's not inappropriate.

For putting the "me and Julio down by the schoolyard" song in my head, you, Bat, will soon be menaced by a host of vengeful banshees.

Gone are the days of paying millions a season buy the naming rights of a stadium, I guess. What is the world coming to???

As long as Siouxsie's singing, the mic is open.
