Get rid of Lindsey Lohan and Paris Hilton and the drug cartels will go away

The Ciudad Juarez Tourism web site is unintentional (and sad) comedy. Check out this graph ...

With the drug lords in charge, those city council meetings are going to be a hoot. Not to mention the Narco League softball games.
And you really, REALLY don't want to cost someone's kid a scholarship.

So does that mean I now have to pay a bribe to see a donkey show?

i'm guessing you guys are joking but the military involvement thing isn't a bad idea once we clear out of iraq and afghanistan. and since the u.s. military can't engage within the u.s. let's just keep mexico mexico.

If the US electorate isn't jumping for joy about war against Islamic fundamentalists (guys we supposedly hate more than Satan himself), sending the US Army south in a big way would be a very, very hard sell.

The paper covers the actions of an iiiegal enterprise and then asks what the cartels wants? It seems pretty simple. Don't cover the cartels.

    But how can you not?

If 70+ bodies are found right outside of town, you've got to cover that. If elected officials are gunned down at a busy intersection, you've got to cover that.

You either cover it and die, or don't and live. Not my idea of a great job.

Well, that's why the editor is asking for some ground rules.

From what my limited Spanish tells me, the paper isn't doing big investigative pieces nor even really condemning the narcos. They hear about a shooting in broad daylight, send a photog and run the basic info.
