I bet the Mets pull the trigger on something bigger, especially in the outfield, although I love the way Tatis has been playing. Not just his production and results but the way he's going about his business -- making good decisions, playing aggressively, taking out runners, etc.

    Don't think so.

    Watch the games.

Marlins will have all four starting infielders with 25+ HRs this year.

True, though they are about 20 runs scored behind both the Mets and Phillies at this point. The Marlins lead the NL in homers, but they don't hit for average or draw walks the way the Mets and Phillies do.

I don't much like the Marlins this year. The Phils' bullpen is way better than the Mets, but the Mets' starters are better than the Phils. Phils' offense hasn't been as good as it should be, given the talent, the last two months.
I think it'll be the Mets, unless Brett Myers has the turnaround of the (still-young) century.

Pelfrey reminds me of a young Trachsel.

Nolasco is third best in the division.

Have you seen his fastball-curve combo?

Can't win with Pelfrey? A guy who in his last 11 starts is 7-0 with a 2.57 ERA?

    No... can't win with Cran.

Pelfrey will win games.... like Trachsel won games.

Hard to believe so soon after he started last year 0-7.

    Rick Petersen actually helped him.
Then Petersen's departure helped him even more.

Or get on base. The Marlins infield hits a lot of home runs. It doesn't do a terribly good job catching the ball, though.

Definitely not the 2003 Marlins in that respect.

This rotation, though..... could be scary good.
