Toss-up between Mets and Phillies. Fish aren't good enough.

Fish are only two games back, the Phillies have issues and apparently this Mets team is overrated. According to Mets fanboi losers on our baseball threads, the team's pitchers all suck garden hose --- or should.

Check back after the trade deadline. If the Mets don't get some bullpen help I don't see them winning. Marlins aren't quite ready yet. I could see the Phils sneaking in again.

Depends. Is the disembodied arm of Tom Seaver going to come back and pitch for the Metropolitan nine?

Everybody always complains, of course, but both the Mets and Phillies are superior to the Marlins in terms of talent. Not even close, really.

Plus, I don't see Marlins management wanting to go out and get anyone at the trade deadline. They have the lowest payroll in baseball by far, and are happy with it.

Regis Philbin picks the Fish. I'm siding with that brilliant baseball mind.

I can see where someone might pick both over the Marlins.

But to say, especially with the Marlins' current rotation, that it isn't close..... holy christ.
