Mets clubhouse man in trouble with the law

This might be in the generic BB thread, but seems like it should be a separate topic.

Clubhouse managers and traveling secretaries both handle a lot of cash -- meal money, sometimes as much as nearly $1,000 per person, is distributed in cash. That means on getaway day, the TS may have $40K cash on him. Clubhouse guys are always getting stray $100 bills from players. Seems like a guy who had both jobs could wind up with a lot of cash in his pockets.

Hard to believe a player or coach couldn't get involved in the betting, too, especially when they have someone inside who easily handle their wagers.

WTF, Mets? I don't think there are any other teams that combine the clubhouse and TS jobs. They're both a major pain in the ass, and it would be a huge burden to handle both.

If he gets fired, I think they could get someone from the Yankees to replace him.

    Story gets deeper and messier:

this story is great. if the wilpons are really hurting for money they should try to do a deal for a baseball version of hard knocks. wasn't priore the guy who worked for the yankees and said he was harassed because he was homosexual? think he said jeff nelson and others hazed/harassed him.

also on WFAN they said KRod lived with Samuels after the fight with his girlfriend's dad.
