But I don't mind reading along. And what man doesn't want fellatio? Even Jesus would take a knob job if no one was looking.

Why do you think Mary Magdalene hung around with J.C.?

That's a good point. And now I begin to think, has there ever been a porno written as a take-off from the Bible?

What you love about the holidays: Catching up with people you haven't seen for awhile.
What you dread about the holidays: Gaudy Xmas light displays in my neighborhood!
Favorite holiday memory: A picture of chubby 5-year-old me on Dad's lap with some kind of board game I'd just gotten. Still have the picture.
Best Damn Christmas Song: I Don't Know How to Love Him. I think that qualifies; it is about JC.

Best gift you bought this year: A Bose radio so my wife has good tunes wafting through the house.
Gift you don't want but will probably get: Handkerchiefs. I don't know why my brother-in-law gets them for me; maybe my nose runs.

Where do you wish you were right now? Playing tackle football at Memorial Park in my hometown.
Plans for New Years: Watch the chocolate kiss drop in Hershey; next day, veg out in front of the good ol' HD.
    Your New Years Resolution: Nothin'.
Greatest wish for 2008: That you good people have all your greatest wishes come true. (Unless you wasted yours on something political. :p)

I have one more Christmas wish: Please don't further ruin 21's thread.

Apologies for not filling out the questionaire again, so here's my answers:

I've had a blessed year. I've had somewhere between 25-39 of them.

2008, God willing, will be another for me, my family, the members of the NIA alliance, and even the idiots out there.

I wish you all peace, love and joy. I pray that this earth becomes a kinder place today.

I ask you all: Be a bit like Scrooge tomorrow. Honor Christmas in your heart, and try to keep it all the year.

And, yes, God bless us, every one.

What you love about the holidays: Everything except the crowds and traffic.

What you dread about the holidays: Crowds and traffic.

Favorite holiday memory: It was any one of Christmas mornings when I was a kid, but now it's taking my six-month old son for his first Santa photo and realizing it was the start of a lot of really fun holidays.

Best Damn Christmas Song: Someday at Christmas

Gift you're hoping for: MP3 player dock

Best gift you bought this year: Tickets to Jesus Christ Superstar for my wife, one of her favorite musicals which she'd never seen live.

Gift you don't want but will probably get: A toothbrush from my mom in my stocking, as always.

Who do you miss the most during the holidays? My grandparents.

Where do you wish you were right now? Home with my wife and son...only three hours to go (as of 11 Pacific)

Plans for New Years: With family, trying to stay awake and keep my son asleep

Your New Years Resolution: Gotta lose weight

Greatest wish for 2008: That my son continues to stay healthy and happy...and develops into a left-hander

  10. I'll do the list later but I thought I'd share my favorite part of this Christmas.
You may recall that last year I mentioned my friend Dr. Ed -- regular at our parties, friend, purveyor of Jameson and Newcastle Brown Ale -- had gotten the worst diagnosis -- pancreatic cancer. Well, contrary to every actuarial table known to man, and after chemo and everything else, he's going to be back for Christmas Eve again this year. Guy still plays hoops three times a week. So, if you get a chance, raise a Newcastle to Dr. Ed, and thanks to Whoever for what's been pretty plainly miraculous.
Come to think of it, that's the whole list, except for "Good King Wenceslaus" by The Roches.

Well, if you're going to be a proud father, we don't know what we're going to do with you. ;)

    Good list. And welcome aboard.

ditto, as usual, casty, my friend.

my sister-in-law and her son (9) and daughter (6) are here with mrs. shockey and our three sons. brother-in-law and his wife were here saturday/sunday.

first christmas without both my mother- and father-in-law, deceased in the last two-and-a-half years. but being together has kept mrs. shockey from getting too bummed.

i have nothing negative to offer about this time of year, on either the chanukah or xmas side of our family. i only wish folks were as kind to each other the rest of the year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, my friends.

as i've always said, the shockeys are far from rich materially. but we're billionaires in terms of friends and relatives.
