    Ouch. That hurt. True, too.

But you have to put what school you graduated from so that they can check to see if you are O'Learying them.

Would the Mensa HQ out someone as not being a member, if an employer asked?

If not, then we can Mensa at will!

I know of people who have put it down for law school applications, but not journalism gigs.

    Sirs, Madames,

I'm not but Boom_70 is and attends regularly. He's trying to loosen up the high-brough types and lead them out into the Lite.

    YHS, etc

    Sirs, Madames,

Oops, sorry. I thought that you were talking about DENSA.

    Never mind, etc

Of course "personal information" doesn't include education. That's a ridiculous notion. Where you got your degree and what you like to do in your free time aren't in the same ballpark.

That said, I don't have that much of a problem with someone listing MENSA membership under "Awards and Honors" or something like that. Personally, I just list "Super genius" and "killer stylo".

By the way, in the name of accuracy, Mensa is not an acronym, so it should not be all caps.

    Carry on.

What are we, the NYT? Nascar and Nfl :)

I don't see what the harm is in having one line that says Mensa/MENSA member on your resume could hurt anything?
Now, adding personal info like kids' names; that seems a tad extraneous.
