Real nice, tough guy. And of course, the station says he was ATTACKED.
This guy should be off the air for a while.

Watch the surveillance video. The DUI guy did start it, but I can't tell why reporterman felt the need to keep it going once they broke up the first scuffle.

Why did the reporter feel the need to chest bump to begin with.
The reporter should be suspended as should the staff who made it into a drama.

In fairness, the reporter didn't chest bump, he was on the receiving end of it. However, DUI guy then turned away and reporterman went up and grabbed his shoulder. He should have realized after the chest bumping this guy was willing to throw down. Once he put his hands on the guy, all bets are off.

  5. Gee, it can;t be because the Tv newser has been deeply inculcated with the worthless values of local TV news, could it?
    Thought not.

Maybe because reporterman didn't know about the surveillance video and figured he needed some video of his own if he was going to be tonight's "Big Story."

Shades of William Hurt doing take 2, with a tear this time...

How many cameras did he use?

Fenian: Inculcated? That's a fuckin' big-league word right there. If this guy had run into you and you'd used that word, he'd have run away screaming ;D

Typical TV bullshit. So, they wanted to see if he was driving. Why not follow from a distance, like the camera man was doing? If he gets in a car, driver's side, you track him down elsewhere and get his reax. You'll have film of him driving. But, no, the reporter wanted to be in the frame as well. The DUI guy is an idiot, but how would you react if someone made a point of following four feet behind you wherever you went? I'd get pretty pissy, too.

Best part is the random knee to DUI guy's head from the guy who just comes on screen.

Why is this station promoting such poor conduct? Who wants to Youtubed looking so bad? I want to hook this guy up with the grape-stomping woman.
