She may not remember it, but you will and you will have pictures. Also, she is going to see her grandparents and that is a good thing.

Sometimes, you do have to tell your kids no. That is what makes saying yes feel so good when you can say yes.

    Weak.

    Just kidding. :D

Have a great time. She certainly will.

I think your memory is a little faulty, Ben. Either that, or baseball reference is fraught with errors about what Moe's did in '56.

Sniff. Sniff. Someone must be cutting onions.
    Good decision.

We as parents have to say no, but some of the most rewarding times for me has been when I have been able to say yes.

More school than two days? How much is "a little more"?

Education, you know, is kinda important. And I'm surprised any teacher would "clear" having your daughter miss school for a non-essential event.

So what? Sets a very bad precedent for down the road.

    Wick,
I never figured you for being such a goody two shoes.
Please do something badass for me. Now.

I'm not a goody two shoes. I'm just questioning the decision.

Then again, I am not the kid's father, so I don't know what's best. Or maybe it's just me being envious, because I never, ever was pampered growing up.

  11. Kids don't see kindergarten as "school," except in the social sense.
They learn, but without knowing its happening.
I don't think missing two days of kindergarten means shenanigans down the road.
