    Amen to the first part. As for the second, I agree. There is lots of sorrow, but there are also many small details/memories from her childhood and growing up where you can see the love between Melissa and her parents. One of the parts that got to me the most was her letting go and "allowing" her dad to die.

    Or, the fact that "dad was never a very good listener."

    That was a great, and terribly sad, story. The last line on Page 4 -- about her father starving to death -- choked me up.
