For the love of dumbness, I thought you had retired to a computer store.
Dude, this shit is surprising for me because I never thought this guy would turn out this way. What's the big deal about that?
I had no REAL inside information about his private life in this way and to be honest, don't really give a damn now. I've got my own issues to deal with and don't time to spend worrying about the sexual issues of Mel Hall or for that matter, any other athlete. That's never been my thing and probably never will.
Like anyone who has spent considerable time around athletes, I've seen some things that make me scratch my head. Many of these guys never grow up. It is what it is.

Funny the story uses scumbag Jim Leyritz to vouch for the innocence of the courtship.

Was thinking the exact same thing.

Yeah, the writer mentions that most former Yankees wouldn't talk to him. Leyritz certainly has nothing to lose at this point.

I don't think Chad Curtis is too busy these days. Well, other than making license plates.

I think Leyritz's own disgrace is a point that should not have been omitted.
A dependent clause is all it would have taken.

Maybe that got edited out because the story was too long.

Yeah, they only missed each other in New York by five years.

It was too long. But I'm not going to beat that drum again.
More was needed on what created the monster.

My favorites back then were Kevin Maas and Alvaro Espinosa.

How about Oscar Azocar, who batted 214 times for the Yankees in 1990 and walked twice?
