    I think this is the Ron Zook move. They need to replace a legend with someone who sucks for a few years before they can hire a respectable replacement. It eliminates the "He's not as good as Russert" expectation.

    If Gregory lasts three years I'll be surprised.

    Gregory is one of those guys who was a good WH correspondent but where do you go next without it seeming like a demotion? If I were NBC I really hope they didn't make this move to keep from losing him. Where would he go?
    Anyone know if John King has re-upped at CNN?

    Chuck Todd is no Russert, but I still suspect he's in NBC'a (long term) plans.
