Media General sells two TV stations

    I have no clue what this means on the business side of things, given MG's latest stock numbers.

    It's simply to use the sales to pay off some debt. If I recall correctly, Moddy, MG doesn't own print publications in either market. Therefore, no "convergence," no "clustering" and no way to save a few pennies.

    WMBB in Panama City was allegedly clustered with the Jackson County Floridan (6500 subscribers strong baby!) 45 minutes up the road. I think they built a small studio in the newsroom after I left so the bureau reporter could do her 30 second piece on the inland Panhandle meth bust of the day, but I doubt anything more ever came of it.
