Media General CEO received $2.7 million in 2007 compensation

    I get the outrage that this guy is making that kind of money while laying people off, but two things stick out:

    1) $925,000 + $276,377 = $1,201,377. That's nowhere near $2 million.
    2) $1.2 million for a CEO of a large corporation like Media General doesn't seem all that excessive.

    I had a bigger problem with this little gem from Morton's memo:

    In other words, let us dock you now and when the time comes to lay you off we'll have stripped you of a week's pay PLUS your dignity. Thanks for being such suckers loyal employees.

    i talked with an MG worker today. he used the word cocksucker to describe this human piece of dung more than once ... oh, and if carl took his four days off next month, he'd be done with work until april.
