Was this media day for The Football Team That God Forgot?

Did I read correctly that the SEC issued 800 credentials for its media days? That's amazing. How many other events in the entire country and over the entire year generate that much hype? I can only think of one.

The Big 10 gets a pretty big turnout for its media day but I don't think it's as big as the SEC.

I'll be at the Big Ten dog and pony show in Chicago. Sure it will be a wonderful time. Saw on the itinerary an "autograph session." Are they serious with that?

What's that, 10 reporters and 790 fanbois disguised as reporters?

About 80 take the time to vote on preseason rankings, All-SEC. A big chunk are radio, TV, technical people, network reps, bowl reps and all sorts of other folks. Fanbois too. The print room is mostly legit reporters.

I'm headed there in a few hours. Save me a seat, friends.
