I live in the south and I can't stand fried okra.
Crispy on the outside, yet a slimy mess on the inside.
    Gross.

  2. Where, South of Rhode Island, could I order "okra tempura" without getting my ass kicked?

Is Japan south of Rhode Island?

  4. Damn you, GeoSafari!

If it makes you feel better, I'm sure Boom can help you find ways to offend the Japanese.

    Actually, both south and north.

My sister tells me you can get excellent tempura in Charleston, SC. (Can't vouch for it myself.) So as long as you have someone else order for you to conceal the Yankee accent, you won't get your ass kicked.

  7. I hear Charleston is a great restaurant city.
    Like to get there sometime.

Thanks, thanks. I'll be here all night.

Honestly, I couldn't believe it took that long for that joke to make its way into this thread. First black guy wins the Masters = fried chicken comments from old white guy. First black guy wins the Presidency = and it takes a young liberal guy to make the fried chicken joke?

    Damn.

  11. College roomie was a Salvant from New Iberia -- him momma were a Boudreaux -- so I know you right, cher.

See, it's things like this -- not a knock on you, F_B, but the "issue" itself -- that make me completely confident I'm doing the right thing by sitting out yet another election entirely.
