This is rotten, horrible news, but we also knew it was coming. This has been rumored, talked about for weeks. Good luck to all at the McClatchy papers.

I'm thinking about all my friends at the Miami Herald.
    Terrible news.
And tomorrow ... it might be the Post-Intel's final printed version.

Ughh ... some great writers and editors work at McClatchy.

To them and everyone else at McClatchy papers, we hope for the best.

I figured that the round of cuts that kicked me out of the door wasn't going to be the first...or the last. I hate that I was right. Prayers for all of all of brothers and sisters working for McClatchy. They'll need it.

You all are in my prayers, McClatchy people.

McClatchy now calls it "headcount reductions."

We are just numbers on a board.

You know, at some point, I keep expecting to become numb to all of this, but I'm not there yet. Each piece of bad news continues to surprise and scare me that much more.

I have friends in Sacramento and lots of friends (and former co-workers) in Miami. Good luck to them all.
