Still doesn't make "everything he said true."

Yes. Of course. His only problem was his honesty.

    Jesus.

That's my opinion. You're entitled to yours.

Doesn't make it all false either.

That three month delay last year in deciding whether to send in more troops was seen by many as a huge slap in the face to the military.

    Of course not.

But why the absolute in either direction?

As was McChrystal's bogus write-up of the Tillman killing.

Yeah, I think he should have been gone for that alone.

What exactly does McCrystal want that he's not getting? He's running the war essentially on his terms. He's basically ignoring State whenever he chooses. COIN is HIS strategy. Outside of offing Karzi and installing a friend of his I'm unclear what would make him happy at this point. He's pissed because the Veep voiced an opinion different from his? Is that it?

So, if you're Obama, do you fire him? Accept his resignation? Apologize for waiting 90 days to make a ruling on the surge? Tell him the only Rolling Stone reporter you can trust in Matt Taibbi?

There's what America needs. A military coup.

If I'm Obama, I accept his apology and let him resign.

As opposed to the 7 1/2 year delay that preceded it?
