    That scene in the showers with Maverick and Iceman -- the one where they're wrapped in towels, their muscled bodies glistening, staring at each other intensely -- always made me feel, um, funny.

    Whatever there was to the rest of the movie, that start on the flight deck of a carrier in the Indian Ocean was one of the coolest starts to a movie that a 20 something could see in 1985(?). I have it on HD on DVR and I still love watching the start and hearing Kenny Loggins' "Danger Zone."
