    I ran a 40 in high school faster than Clarett did at the combine.

    Maybe so. Clarett wasn't even the fastest kid on his own high school team. He certainly wasn't the fastest guy on Ohio State's 2002 team. But put on the pads and the kid could play football like few others I saw at either level.

    Saw Clarett run for 401 yards and five touchdowns in a playoff game against Lakewood St. Edward. It's a cliche, but anyone who saw that game will tell you he was a man among boys that night.
