b) wildly flip-flopped from raving about one team (and their "system") to another, depending on who was hot or cold at the moment (as almost all broadcasters do) -- one day he'd rave about a ball-control team, the next day he was going nuts about the WCO;

c) spewed an endless litany of moldy weather-beaten cliches, "rough-tough snot-knocking football," "veteran leadership," "locker room leaders," etc etc.;

d) regularly went insane with lust over guys making big plays (quite often, wide receivers)

so I said, that if Millen ever actually took over the operations of a football team, he would act in accordance with all those tendencies, and indeed he did -- resulting in the most catatstrophic disaster of a season in professional sports history, capping off the worst 7-year stretch by any franchise in NFL history.

So to everyone I talked to, 8 and 9 years ago, especially those who dared to disagree with me, I told you so, I told you so, I told you so, I told you so, I told you so, I told you so, I told you so, I told you so -- I. Told. You. So.

Millen was, has been, is, and will continue to be, a complete imbecile when it comes to explaining why football teams win games. Sticking him on national broadcasts is a complete insult to the intelligence of the viewing audience. Get his fucking idiot imbecile ass out of there.

I see Karl Rove, Rudy Giuliani, Bob Schrum, and others offering their commentary on TV, but Millen really should atone somewhat for what he has done to that franchise. I liked him as a player and commentator, but it just looked really bad. It reminded me of someone, can't think whom, but someone, someone.....

How NBC has the balls to trot this moronic piece of ratshit into their studio for analysis is beyond my comprehension. How does he have any credibility? He drove that franchise into the ground. Now I'm not bashing Bush, the same could be said of Bill Clinton, but at some point doesn't accountability have to come into play? Clinton at least was impeached by Congress and lost his law license. But now we're seeing more and more people fail upward. Screw up a war?, here's a medal. Drive your network's ratings down, from first to worst?, here's a promotion, and another, and another, and another. Fail to win a conference game?, here, we'll double your pay if you bolt that gig and coach our football team. I'd say this was somewhat particular to white males, but I'll say the same thing about Isaiah Thomas. I can't believe the stuff that guy pulled either.
It bothers me.

It was crushing. Vicious. A low blow. Oh, come on.
First, previously on Matt Millen: Channel 4 stood up for its local viewers and ran that simple little crawl during NBC’s Super Bowl coverage whenever his face was on the screen Sunday, asking viewers whether his horrible record with the Lions affected his credibility as an analyst.
And the little local story got national legs when Internet sites around the country posted links to the freep.com note on it.

But not everybody — just about 99% — was amused, such as ESPN’s Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon on Tuesday’s “Pardon the Interruption.”

Said Kornheiser: “Wilbon, what do you think of this guerrilla tactic?”

“That’s one of the most vicious attacks that I have ever heard of anywhere,” Wilbon said. “And the notion that this would go on in and around the NFL. I gotta think that the National Football league, somebody made a phone call to the affiliate, WDIV, and said in no uncertain terms, this will not ever run again or else. I believe that."
