Some schools have been known to pull scholarships if an athlete gets pregnant... This is one case where it probably helps her that this is a high-profile relationship because USC wouldn't dare do that now...

Given the parents, they're probably offering the baby a scholarship...

Why did it take Leinart so long to close a deal with the Cardinals?

Guess he had other things on his mind.

The direct result of Matt's release...

Don't these kids know about birth control? Hell, we're giving first-graders sex ed now, aren't we?

Hondo, some people simply don't care for birth control, either for personal or religious reasons. Just how it is.

Hell, a good investigation might be the number of love childs Leinart has around the Los Angeles area, counting abortions at the college clinic.

Maybe the USC coach wants to kick Leinart's ass, but let's see, is the player hurt? Just the alimony she'll get one day beats the hell out of a WNBA contract. Can we say instant celebrity perks?

So you're telling me that a good Mormon girl, with eligibility remaining on a college scholarship to play basketball at USC WANTED to get knocked up?

My theory is she convinced herself she would not get knocked up, just like most girls that get knocked up do, regardless of their education level or religion. It wasn't going to happen to her, until it did.

Interesting that the discussion about a white Mormon girl getting pregnant by the top pick in the NFL Draft centers on her familiarity with birth control.

If this had been a girl of another race, I assume the charge would be that she is cashing in by having the kid.

If she were trying to cash in with child support payments, she would have had a toddler with him by now. They've been an item for a couple of years.
