Was reminded of Matt Dillon's career recently (Flamingo Kid (my fav), Outsiders, Drugstore Cowboy, Wild Things) and thought a comp would be Rob Lowe (Oxford Blues, Class, St. Elmo's Fire); who do you select for better career?

Don't forget My Bodyguard with Dillon. Good flick.

And Lowe was very good in Californication.

Rob Lowe because of his comedic turns, his TV work (West Wing) and his better range as an actor. Don't forget his work in Wayne's World and Tommy Boy. I don't think Matt Dillon has ever been very funny.

Dillon was good in To Die For.

I haven't seen anything he has done since Crash, I believe. Didn't work much for a while.

[EDIT] and I forgot Over the Edge, which I seemed to catch at least once a year during the 80's.

Rob Lowe, much more handsome. Much more prolific career as well. Hell, he had four TV shows going last year.

    Born a month apart, BTW.

Matt Dillon early on. Rob Lowe seems to keep a lot busier now.

I like how Lowe is willing to make fun of himself.

If you throw in Kevin Dillon and Chad Lowe, now that evens things out.

Lowe has had more lead roles, but I'd rather have Dillon's career. A little of this, a little of that. Lowe has kind of been playing a caricature of himself for the last 15 years. Dillon has been in better movies, though I don't know if he's ever really carried a movie.

Celebrity Networth has Dillon at $35m, Lowe at $30m.

Is there also a Sports Journalists Networth site?

I thought this was a thread from my wife's high school reunion about who starred in their losing-it fantasies.
