Mater-Dei vs. Carson High School Football

    One thing I never understand is how in these telecasts, the announcers mentioned with great enthusiasm how (one or both of these teams) do mentoring work with elementary schools in the area.

    Who decides that these football players are proper mentors?

    College players do that stuff all the time.

    Don't see the big deal with high school players being allowed to do it...

    Hutch lost 28-21 tonight, despite leaving 17 points on the field (fumbled right at the goal line, got a punt return touchdown called back and missed a field goal). Rockhurt probably should have lost.

    My brother was updating me throughout the Rock/Hutch game. When it was over, there wasn't as much satisfaction in his voice as there was relief. And jubilation. Good showing for both states.
