Masters headlines?

    He's 26 and just won the Masters in the midst of his first season playing a significant number of events in the U.S., making him the front-runner for PGA Tour rookie of the year. Not sure you ought to dismiss him just yet.

    USA Today's headline is pretty good: Masters of surprise.

    It summarizes the story, it doesn't use a non-headline-name like Schwartzel, it avoids the 3rd-grade attempts at puns, and it avoids falling in the trap of "masterful," which should be "masterly" in this case. (His win was skillful, not dominating.)

    This is what I went with. I actually got several compliments on it, which never happens.

    I told a few co-workers of this suggestion, and only one of them actually caught the reference. I'm a little disappointed in my SE, who's in his 50s, for not getting that one.
