    I found it funny how, when runaway slaves made it to Butler's army for safety, you had Virginians whining about him not returning them to their owners as per the Fugitive Slave Act. Um, hello? You seceded from the fucking Union. That means you are no longer under the Union's laws. Why should have Butler given you back your slaves?

    Not the issue, SS. At least not in this thread.

    The issue is why are you honoring a despicable excuse for a human being like Nathan Bedford Forrest. Especially since he was from TENNESSEE -- not Mississippi.
