As usual, Slappy has it bang-on right. Man, she was cute in "Weekend At Bernie's" and "Night Of The Comet" (the latter one of the great nonsensical B-movies of all-time).

 

Long ago I read that Hughes made concessions to the studio's wishes with the ending of "Pretty in Pink." He said "Some Kind of Wonderful" gave people the ending he preferred.

 

She's no Mary Elizabeth Mastrontonio, who was honest-to-god beautiful in the Abyss, which had a paucity of other redeeming qualities.

In the early/mid 90s, MEM and Annabella Sciorra were about as hot as it got for NW. You know, other than Mrs. NW

And I get Mary Elizabeth confused sometimes with Madeleine Stowe.

 

I knew that was coming, I knew that was coming and it still made me laugh.

Everything Robin Hood does, BTW, he does it for her.

Stowe in her prime gets my vote.

Though the only one I've seen up close and in person is the former ER star (yes, I'm avoiding spelling her last name and I'm too lazy to look it up) and she was more attractive than I realized.

 

I've gotten hooked on checking in with Perez Hilton and he always refers to Jen as "Maniston." Which seems mean and undeserved. But that's Perez's deal.
