My wife has said repeatedly that the book is far, far, far better than the movie. In fact, she begged me to read the book after watching the movie.

I would like to read some of the original columns the guy wrote about Marley when he was in Fla.

My lasting memory of John Grogan is Buzz Bissinger calling his columns "insipid" and ripping him for staying on while his fellow reporters were axed, all on a comment section of a Philly Inky blog.

    John Grogan's good people.

    His writing's not bad, either.

An AWFUL lot of incidents with that dog to generate that many columns and a book.

Are you saying the dog lied?

Daisy is six months old, and could easily get several chapters out of the things she's done so far. After 13 years, I could certainly have an entire book.

OK, question on the dog dying and if someone feels they'd rather PM me with it instead of a general post that's fine.
Ms. Slappy asked tonight if the dog died or was killed... difference.
She won't go see any movie with animals in it because the dog might get hurt. But for some reason, the dying/killed issue is something she wants to know...
