No, 200 innings a year for 14 straight years.

King Felix has a chance, 93Devil.

He's had eight straight seasons of 200-plus innings, and in his first two seasons, it was 190 and 191. If Hernandez (age 29) stays healthy, he'll approach or beat 14 straight years.

And it was just like one or two beers.

Every time I grabbed one, I’d go over and check in with the coaches.

“Hey, you guys are sure you’re not going to need me, right?”

“No, Mark. You are not pitching today. You just went.”

So I’d hear that and grab a beer.

It was only like three beers…

Just like everyone ever pulled over for suspected drunk driving!

Took the boy to Mark Buehrle Day yesterday on the South Side. Packed house. Perfect weather. Enthusiasm for the honoree at fever pitch.

One is reminded, first, what a regional game MLB is - I'm sure there are people in other cities a little befuddled that a guy who won't sniff Cooperstown gets the red carpet rollout. Also, one is reminded how important being a key cog on a championship team is to a player's legacy in a city. Now begins, basically, those decades where we watch those '05 guys grow old, just like I remember the '59 guys coming back for various ceremonies and occasions as I grew up.

I don't know. Baseball is just cool.

My 8-year-old asked for a Buehrle jersey as we were walking out.
