Dang if I didn't learning something new. Terry Jacks is best known for 1974's Seasons in the Sun. Got to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Great song.

Really is amazing how many elite-level athletes have asthma to the point of needing an inhaler...

A career grand slam winner, to boot.

One of only six women to do it in the Open era.

It's even more rare for men, as only eight have ever done it, and only Agassi and the Big Three in the Open era. No Borg. No Connors. No McEnroe. No Sampras.

I believe she was also a top 10 player in singles and got to the Wimbledon semifinals.

She snuck in there in 2000 right before the talented Russians (Sharapova, Kuznetsova, Dementieva, Myskina, Zvonareva, Petrova) and Belgians (Clijsters, Henin) took over the top 10 with the Williamses.

Kournikova was ranked 8th in singles, I believe. And everybody said she was no good because she never on a singles championship. So I guess the eighth-best baseball player, eighth-best hockey player, eighth-best basketball player, they're no good either.
